You can store your candle for several years. In fact, allowing it to rest is beneficial: the more time the wax has to mature, the slower and more even the burn becomes, extending the life of your scented candle and the fragrance experience.

No, our candles do not have an expiry date. Stored in the right conditions, they keep well over time. To preserve the richness of the fragrance and the quality of the wax, we recommend keeping your candle closed, away from light and heat, and ideally using it within five years of purchase.

Yes. All our candles are madeby hand at our premises in Switzerland, using meticulous artisanal techniques.

We choose to work exclusively with 100% natural, non-GMO soy wax for its ability to reveal every facet of a fragrance faithfully. In our view, it is the best alternative to synthetic waxes such as petroleum-derived paraffin, and to certain plant-based waxes, such as rapeseed or palm wax, which do not always convey fragrance notes as accurately.

Our fragrances are developed in close collaboration with artisan perfumers in Grasse, the historic home of perfumery. Most industrial candles contain paraffin and synthetic fragrances derived from petrochemicals.

Our fragrances are designed to offer a balanced presence. They fill a space elegantly without becoming overpowering, creating a subtle fragrance experience true to our approach to perfumery.

Our wicks are made from repurposed wood offcuts, giving the material a second life. They offer a gentle, even burn and reveal the fragrance faithfully. Wood also produces a natural crackle, without added chemicals, unlike some commercially available candles that use additives to recreate this effect.

We like to compare our candles to plants: to preserve their beauty and extend their life, they deserve a little care.

After each use, gently remove the burnt part of the wick and trim it to around5 mmin height.

For candles with several wicks, keepeach wick at the same length.

This simple step encourages a slower, more even burn, enhances the fragrance experience and extends your candle’s life.

We recommend burning your candle for between20 minutes and 1 hour, or untilthe entire surface of the wax has melted. This essential step preventstunnelling(a hollow forming in the wax) and ensures an even burn.

For example, a500 mlcandle, burned for around45 minutes, can evenly scent a room of more than60 m².

Lighting every wick ensures even fragrance diffusion.

Like any handcrafted creation, a candle requires care. Never leave it burning unattended, especially around children or pets, and keep it away from flammable materials. We recommend no more thantwo hours of burningper use.

Always wait until the candle is cool before moving it, and ensure it rests on a stable surface, with a protective base if needed.

After the first use, trim the wooden wick to around5 mm.

To preserve the fragrance and burn quality of your candle, we recommend using acandle snuffer. Alternatively, blow gently on the wicks and let the candle cool before replacing the lid.

It is important tonever use the lid to extinguish the flame. This creates condensation that the wick absorbs, which can make it harder to light next time. The melted wax may also absorb smoke and release a burnt smell during the next use.

Candles with wooden wicks need a little care to burn evenly. If your candle goes out, we recommendgently trimming the wickto leave around5 mm in height.

This helps keep the flame balanced and the fragrance diffusion consistent. Check your wicks before every use: an essential step for the best fragrance experience.

Every creation is carefully designed. We deliberately leave a small amount of wax at the bottom to prevent the flame from heating the container directly.

This margin, between 5 mm and 1 cm, is an essential safety feature. It protects the container and reduces heat-related risks. This is also why our candles contain slightly more wax than the stated amount.

After use, clean the container to remove any remaining wax.

Hello Candle containers are not taken back, but they can be fully recycled with tinplate. Undamaged lids can be returned for reuse.

For a creative second life, the container can also become apot for succulents or herbs, a small storage container or a decorative object.
